The Charles Owen Hampton riding hat is designed to have a low profile and to flatter the face with its gently rounded peak, whilst still shading the eyes. The covering is best quality Italian velvet. The harness is manufactured from soft deerskin leather, is fully adjustable and has nylon reinforcement. The lining is luxurious satin with a black velour headband for softness and comfort against the skin.

Certified by SEI to ASTM F1163 and kitemarked to PAS015 and BSEN1384.

For alternative colours of this hat there is a £6.00 additional charge.

  A. HI Ali,

This is a hard question to answer as every head/face is different. The same helmet can have a different look on two different people. This helmet is made to be more form fitting then some of the high brow helmets.

This hat looks slightly flatter than most I have tried on? Is this the case? If not would you be able to recommend a good Hat for me that would be less pronounced on my head and a good first time hat to buy?

As a First Time rider we would recommend the Young Rider Hat which is an excellent standard with an nylon harness for comfort.

Once you have got use to using a riding hat the Charles Owen Hampton would be a good choice to forward with.

they are both made to the same BS safety standard, so they offer the same protection, we keep the h2000 in stock which is much more popular than the hampton. The hampton we would have to order for you, could delivery it by wednesday/Thursday The h2000 would leave today.
